Population Homework 2

Population Pyramids

1) What is a population pyramid?
2) What are the main 'shapes' a population pyramid can take? As a minimum you should have a shape for: -
  • An LEDC
  • An MEDC
  • An Aeging population

3) Using the websites below, find a population pyramid for Brazil and Japan. Take a whole page in your book. Sketch each pyramid and add 5 annotations. These must be in your own words - NOT copied from the websites. You must use the following key words.

  • Birth Rate
  • Death Rate
  • Life Expectancy
